A founding team that brings together the management of complex skin cancers, laboratory science, and direct access to the patients that need this new therapy.
Consultant dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon at the St John's Institute of Dermatology, Guy's Hospital; Honorary Reader and Principal Investigator at King's College London. Magnus trained in medicine at Cambridge, holds a doctorate from Oxford and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. He was awarded the single annual UK fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery at St John's, where he is now a consultant treating patients with complex skin cancers every week.
He leads a laboratory studying the biology of skin cancer, has published around 45 peer-reviewed papers, and is senior author on the first single-cell and spatial map of basal cell carcinoma (PNAS, 2024), produced as part of the Human Cell Atlas with funding from the Wellcome Trust.
His surgical practice gives Epistat same-day access to fresh patient-derived tumour samples, and direct access to the high-risk patients a preventive treatment is designed for.
Senior biomedical scientist and an expert in skin-cancer biology at Guy's Hospital, currently completing his PhD in the Lynch lab at King's. Member of the Institute of Biomedical Science.
Jeyrroy built and runs the 3D co-culture platform at the core of Epistat, developed over three years during his PhD, and leads the screening and image analysis that identified the company's lead compounds. He is a co-inventor on the company's filed patent.
He has published across the fields of biomedical science and single-cell biology. Earlier in his career he contributed towards the development of a new haematoxylin staining dye and a semi-automated melanin bleaching protocol to aid melanoma diagnosis. His work has been recognised with both national and international awards.
